Sheila grew up in Irvington, New York and has lived in and around Westchester County and New York City for most of her life. Sheila's entire professional career has focused on real estate finance, valuation analysis and executing transactions. After graduating from Harvard College in 1989, where she majored in Economics and played on the Varsity Squash Team, she worked as a real estate analyst in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley & Co. She returned to Morgan Stanley & Co. after graduating from Harvard Business School in 1994. Sheila worked for the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds where she was involved in real estate principal transactions, asset sales, and managing real estate holdings. From 1998-2001 she worked for Cohen & Steers Capital Management Inc., the largest investment management firm in the real estate investment trust arena. At Cohen & Steers, Sheila worked extensively on the valuation of residential property companies as well as other real estate related investments.

Sheila lives in Bronxville with her husband Murray and three young children McKenna (8), Conner (7) and Molly (5). Before moving to Bronxville, she lived in Scarsdale for two years and New York City. Sheila is an active member of the Junior League of Bronxville, The Reformed Church of Bronxville, a Community Fund Board Member and very active in the Girl Scouts. She belongs to Saint Andrews Golf Club located in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York as well as the Bronxville Field Club where she continues to be an avid golf and racquets person.
